White laser beams draw a flowing object – slowly evolving shapes, edges, curves of shimmering pulsed light – on a wall 30 meters wide and 6 meters high in a completely dark room. Fragile Territories uses four lasers, each contributing to a complex and shifting visual form, overlapping lines, rigid grids, loose shortcuts, a painting of light that oscillates between static geometry and fluid fleeting strokes of color.
The installation was on view for three months in Nantes in 2012/2013 and one month in Rennes, France in 2014.
